ENDLESS ACTIVITIES
An incredible array of activities are available at Thornton Oaks and in the surrounding community. Residents plan and staff facilitate opportunities: a Foreign Affairs Discussion, book discussion, Religion Interest and play reading groups; Art Committee which select artists to exhibit at Thornton Oaks; Library Committee to maintain a fine pleasure library including a growing selection of videos and books on tape; bridge, scrabble, flower arranging, art classes.

MUSIC AND THEATER
Residents attend the world-renown Bowdoin Summer Music Festival, or enjoy mini-concerts by the extraordinarily talented students in our fireplace lounge. The Maine State Music Theater offers a delightful summer selection of Broadway hits. The Bowdoin College campus theater is just minutes from Thornton Oaks. Trips are offered to the Portland Museum of Art or Boston Museum of Fine Arts; to the Portland Symphony or Portland Stage Company.

EDUCATION AT BOWDOIN COLLEGE
Audit classes at Bowdoin College, a famous liberal arts college. And enjoy the exercise classes and free access to the college pool accorded to Thornton Oaks residents. The new Senior College offers additional learning opportunities.
