Thornton Oaks Health & Wellness
Exercise
is a pillar of good health and Thornton
Oaks residents embrace a wide range
of ways to stay fit. Ownership comes
with a complimentary membership to
Running Start, a fitness program offered
through Mid
Coast Hospital at Bowdoin College’s
Farley Field House. Running Start
exercise classes cater to everyone
from entry-level beginners to serious
runners and the water aerobics program
combines class time with lap swimming.
Residents enjoy the fitness-friendly
walking trail that borders our community.
The trail abuts the Brunswick-Topsham
Land Trust trail system and in winter
months provides great snowshoeing
and cross country skiing opportunities.
Medical Support for Peace of Mind

Oaks’ health services coordinator.

have any health-related concerns.
She can facilitate the search for
an appropriate physician or support
group and also serves as our patient
advocate. Ann coordinates community
wellness activities, including weekly
exercise classes and local walks,
regular blood pressure clinics and
annual flu shot clinics.
